Emu Experience!

We were on holiday, staying in a cabin at Halls Gap in beautiful Victoria. Suddenly a blur flashed past the large picture window….followed by six others a fraction of a second later. The door crashed open, it was Eri being chased by ‘Old man Emu’ and five chicks. She did not know Emu’s are friendly ‘Big chickens’, we soon made friends with them and each morning between 7.50 and 8 o'clock they waited outside the cabin for their breakfast, if we were a few moments late, they gave their call (Boiiiink Boiiink sounding like a gong) to let us know.
